I have found a new shoe that you really must go check out! It is a company called Cape Clogs. Lucky me Cape Clogs sent me the Wooly pair to give a test run. I adore all the fun patterns they have to fit all of our unique personalities. One of my personal favorites is pictured above. You may recognize these shoes from being featured on O (Oprah) magazine.

I am addicted to finding freebie offers online. Everyday, I get so many great products in the mail- all of which are from taking advantage of online freebie offers. I am like a little kid tearing into the mail to see what freebies I get everyday!


Nothing in this world is free....or is it?



There are so many deals online saying "get this for free!" Are they real? What's the catch?

The answer is that there are many great deals online and yes, there are some great freebies online, too. Companies often send out sample size products of new items as a way to introduce them in the marketplace. Or companies test market current products and allow segments of the population to receive free products to test market in return for their feedback.



Here are some tips to help you maximize your freebies and not get stuck paying for something that should be free.

1. In order to get a freebie offer, you may have to register for the company website. Just pay attention to what you're registering for. Most often, you are simply registering to receive their email newsletter. Be sure to read the fine print to see exactly what you're registering for.

2. Never give your credit card information for a freebie offer. If you are asked to do so, it isn't a legitimate freebie offer.

3. Be sure to read the "terms of service". For example, magazine offers sometimes have an automatic renewal that will be issued in the form of a bill after the freebie offer expires. In this case, simply write "cancel subscription" on the bill and return it in the pre-paid envelope to avoid payment.

4. Make sure there isn’t an automatic shipment program that you’re signing up for. There is a current free coffee offer that sounds great but if you’re not careful, you get into an automatic shipment program. Again, don’t give your credit card at anytime during a freebie offer, unless you want to be paying for something later on.

Freebie offers are a great way to try new products! Do take advantage of all of the great freebie offers you can find. We'll keep them coming on this website!

Okay so I couldn't pick just one this week. I was excited about both of these finds so I decided to share both. The first one is on the Dove bars of soap that I found at Walgreens (of course) on sale for 99 cents each with in ad coupon. I also had a coupon for $1.00 off any Dove facial product. I used the two coupons I had of these to get ....FREE SOAP!

The second deal I got I found at Target. I followed the advice that was given from our previous guest post from Christy at The Bargain Jargon on mark downs. I went in to look at the girls clothes and scored this adorable dress for my daughter for only $3.24! She was thrilled!

BolaBall Giveaway

Bolaball is one of the new games that everyone is playing! It is simple, for all ages, easy to transport, and FUN!

The object of the game is to hang or wrap the Bola-Balls around the colored dowels attached to the target for points. The first person to 21 points WINS. Number of Players: 2 or 4 Players.

BolaBall comes in a mesh with zipper carrying case as you see above. It is easy to transport from car to the park or wherever it is you are going thanks to the case. The case has a strap that fits over ones shoulder comfortably and its light weight. The balls have their own patch as well which keeps the game organized in the carrying case.

My family and I have played this game numerous times since we received BolaBall. I also took it to girls camp and the girls, which age from 12-18, laughed and played it for quite some time. My 3 year old also is a fan of the BolaBall!

My only concern would be the game can be wobbly at times. I never tried to hammer the game into the ground but only used the new platforms and the wood slid down easily most times however, living in a humid area, when the humidity was high the wood swelled and was difficult to push down all the way which in turn made it wobbly.

Overall, BolaBall was/is a hit with my family. It is a great activity and I would recommend it.

After Halloween sales

So who took advantage of the After Halloween sales? I didn't really get out to too many places as I have two little sick girls at home. I did my Walgreens trip (it was a quick one with big brother babysitting) then today I wen to the grocery store.

I did find some decorating items for next year 75% off at Walgreens. At the grocery store I was able to find Halloween napkins, cups, and plates marked down to 90 cents a pack. I also found lots of fun Halloween candy. I picked up big bags of Brachs caramels and Reisens that really had no Halloween decor on them for 80 cents a bag. I plan on using these to fill some gift baskets I wanted to put together for teachers and some neighbors. I also found some gummy High School Musical candy (do you think this will be okay to hang onto for a Valentines treat?)
